Walmart Serves Up a Fresh Food Loyalty Program

 
In an attempt to get customers to eat healthier, Walmart and HumanaVitality have developed a unique way to incentivize people to do so. The two companies launched a first-of-its-kind program called Vitality HealthyFood, whereby Walmart offers a 5% discount on produce items to HumanaVitality members. The program is set to begin October 15. Starting then, shoppers will be able to determine which foods qualify for the discount by looking for the “Great for You” icon, which, as the name implies, was created to designate foods that are part of a healthy diet. The effort is the first national program where a major retailer and healthcare company have come together to incentivize people to eat better through savings on healthier foods, according to Walmart.

Big Y Launches Baby Y Loyalty Program

Supermarket chain, Big Y, is now offering a Baby Y loyalty program. This program appeals to expectant mothers and families with babies! Shoppers who purchase $50 or more of marked baby products at Big Y will earn “gold coins.” Other perks to this program include free prenatal vitamins at its Big Y Pharmacy & Wellness Center, $10 off baby’s first birthday cake and free “smash cake,” exclusive coupons, parenting tips and tricks, and on-demand information ranging from blog posts to links and coupons! Shopping for a babies needs can get very pricey, but with this program families can now get rewarded for those purchases!

Regal Entertainment Group Launches New Website

Regal Entertainment Group, operating one of the largest theater circuits in the world, has launched a new website with enhanced loyalty program interaction capabilities for its customers. The newly designed website, REGmovies.com, includes new amenities such as integration of the Regal Crown Club seamlessly into Regal’s online presence. Customers can also track rewards, update information, and most importantly personalize their online experience. With more than 7 million active members, the Regal Crown Club is the number one theater loyalty program in the country. The new Regal website is designed to provide moviegoers with quick and simple navigation through all of the site’s features…along with the new look and feel!

Caesars Entertainment’s Total Rewards Receives Award

GameStop Offering Wii U Wait List to PowerUp Rewards Members

GameStop recently stopped taking pre-orders for the Nintendo Wii U due to the overwhelming demand for the product. Instead, the video game giant has set up a wait list for PowerUp Rewards members. The new wait list program allows PowerUp Rewards members to sign up to be notified when additional quantities of the Wii U become available for purchase after the Nov. 18 launch. Consumers secure a place on the wait list by visiting their local GameStop store and signing up as a PowerUps Rewards member on the spot if necessary. Members in both free and paid tiers are eligible for this wait list. GameStop’s list may give holiday shoppers another option in their quest to pursue Nintendo’s new console before the end of the year!
