A new restaurant loyalty program figures to make itself a lot of friends on Facebook.
Plink has teamed up with Dunkin’ Donuts, Quiznos, Red Robin, Taco Bell and other chain restaurants for its online-to-offline deal, which lets Facebook users earn rewards when they eat at participating businesses, a post on psfk.com reports.
Users simply log into Plink’s program via Facebook, the post explains, and register their credit or debit card. They earn Facebook Credits whenever they go out to eat and use that same card.
“This seamless loyalty program rewards users automatically and doesn’t require any loyalty cards, additional steps or training in restaurants,” according to psfk.com’s Emma Hutchings.
And it’s promising news for restaurants and retailers, Plink co-founder Peter Vogel says in the article.
“Facebook Credits is the missing ingredient that’s been needed to connect social media to offline sales,” Vogel says. “Now with the ‘glue’ of Facebook Credits our national restaurant and offline retailer partners have a way to tap into the nearly 800 million users on Facebook, motivate them to become loyal customers, and reward them.”
It’s one of the more innovative loyalty programs out there — and all the more reason consumers should make sure they’re finding and tracking the most beneficial deals.
